Off and Running: Filing To Run for Auditor

Campaign Turns in Signatures from Across Ohio
Dear Friends and Supporters,

Chagrin Falls, OhioFrom the Conneaut lakeshore on July 4, to Tom's Ice Cream in Zanesville, to the Popcorn Shop in Chagrin Falls (photo), to the Canfield and Darke County Fairs, and on to Marietta, Portsmouth, Lima and so many places in between, it's been a fun and eye-opening statewide trek since I launched this campaign last May.

In all, I've logged more than 40,000 miles criss-crossing this wonderful state, including through this week's snow.  And we've got a lot more places to visit and many more Ohioans to meet.

But today, we made it official.  We filed our signatures with the Secretary of State's Office to be on the ballot for this May's primary, and ultimately this November's general election.

Thanks to all those who signed and helped gather signatures, and thanks to all I've met for such a wonderful reception everywhere I've gone.

Most importantly, I'm energized by what I've heard again and again: that people want to see a dramatic change in how the State Auditor does business--to take the politics out of the office, and get down to the serious business of eliminating waste, saving taxpayer dollars and reforming government so Ohio and its many communities can compete for job and economic growth.

That's what I've done before, and it's whatI plan to do across the State beginning next year.

And in the meantime, we'll keep visiting all corners of the State.  See you soon at a local icon near you.  (And be sure to tell us the "can't miss" spots in your area by emailing anne@davidpepper.com . Hint: good ice cream and burger places greatly appreciated)

Sincerely,

David
