- David serves on the Board of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO), and chairs the CCAO’s Metropolitan County Committee
- David was named “40 under 40” by the Cincinnati Business Courier in 2002, and recognized by Cincy Magazine as one of Cincinnati’s “Power 100” for the past three years
- David has received awards for his work to invest in quality of life in neighborhoods, for his initiative to boost working families through free tax preparation, and for his support for at-risk youth
- David was selected as an Aspen-Rodel Fellow for 2009, a recognition bestowed on 20 political leaders nationwide
- David’s Safe and Clean Neighborhood Program was recognized as a national best practice by Keep America Beautiful
- In 2009, A Cincinnati newspaper recognized Pepper for “Best Transparency” for a Public Official for his efforts to educate voters on County work and policies.
